ELECTRICAL ESTIMATOR
New York City-based electrical construction contractor is seeking an experienced Estimator.
Responsibilities:
Thoroughly analyze project plans, specifications, and electrical blueprints to determine the scope, materials, labor, and equipment requirements.
Conduct site visits and collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to understand project intricacies and constraints.
Lead and mentor the estimating team, providing guidance on best practices, industry trends, and estimation methodologies.
Develop detailed and accurate cost estimates for complex commercial electrical construction projects.
Personally manage complex and high-profile project estimates, including those with unique technical challenges or high financial stakes.
Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors.
Evaluate subcontractor bids and negotiate favorable terms and pricing agreements.
Work with project managers and financial teams to create project budgets and financial forecasts.
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
Prepare persuasive and detailed proposals for clients, highlighting the company's capabilities and competitive advantages.
Stay up to date with local, state, and national electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Ensure that all project estimates and plans comply with relevant codes and regulations.
Maintain comprehensive records of all estimates, proposals, and project-related documentation.
SALARY: $100-150K
