Job Description

Summers Plumbing Heating & Cooling, a trusted name in the Kokomo, IN community since 1969, is seeking a dedicated full-time Lead HVAC Installer to join our award-winning team. As a Lead HVAC Installer, you will oversee job sites, ensure high-quality installations, and provide mentorship to assistant installers. Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage HVAC installation projects at residential job sites
  • Train and mentor assistant installers, providing clear instructions and guidance
  • Communicate effectively with customers, addressing questions and concerns professionally
  • Oversee the installation of furnaces, air conditioning units, coils, and related equipment
  • Ensure all equipment is installed to company standards and functions properly
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment
  • Modify ductwork and create custom transitions as needed
  • Handle refrigerant in compliance with the Clean Air Act
  • Collaborate with team members and leadership to deliver excellent customer service

Qualifications

  • Ability to pass background, driving, and drug screening
  • Experience installing residential HVAC equipment, including furnaces and air conditioning units
  • Ability to cut and bend metal for custom transitions and ductwork modifications
  • Physically able to lift and place HVAC equipment
  • Knowledge of safe work practices and commitment to maintaining a safe job site
  • Ability to charge and handle refrigerant per the Clean Air Act
  • Strong leadership, communication, and time management skills
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and delegate tasks to team members
  • Dependable, team-oriented, and respectful of customers and their property

Compensation

$60,000 - $90,000 per year , based on skills and experience.
