Job Description:

This role is responsible for meeting daily customer demand and production schedules. The Manufacturing Technician I ensures that safety and quality standards are always maintained.

The Manufacturing Technician I will assemble products using a variety of specialized equipment, fixtures, work instructions, and test equipment to perform a series of operations to correctly produce, assemble, and test medical devices.

Key responsibilities include:

• Working with the Manufacturing Lead and/or Specialist to ensure customer demand and production schedules are met
• Participating in basic problem-solving activities to ensure stable operation of the work cell
• Reporting problems or concerns related to quality, processes, equipment, materials, and labor to the Manufacturing Lead or Production Supervisor
• Observing, maintaining, coordinating, and completing standard work
• Participating in DBS concepts and continuous improvement activities within the designated work area
• Sustaining 5S activities by maintaining a clean and organized work area to support manufacturing functions
• Actively participating as a member of the production team and assisting in product processing
• Following documented policies and procedures as defined by the company’s Quality System
• Completing required documentation related to regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

Minimum Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or some relevant work experience
• Ability to read and follow documents such as safety rules, operating procedures, and work instructions
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred:

• GMP knowledge
• Medical device manufacturing experience
• Microscope experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in environments that may contain adhesives, solvents, and chemical processes
• Frequent ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, and twist
• Ability to regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
• Ability to inspect and observe small parts for extended periods
• Close and color vision required
• Must be willing to work in controlled environments with strict requirements for apparel and personal hygiene
