Job Description

Role: Scrum Master

Location: Pleasanton, CA or Remote

Duration: 6+ Months

Job Summary:

  • We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master with strong expertise in Agile methodologies and hands-on experience with Jira.
  • The ideal candidate will facilitate Agile ceremonies, remove impediments, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Experience in the healthcare domain is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams, ensuring adherence to Agile principles and Scrum framework
  • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives
  • Manage and optimize workflows using Jira (boards, dashboards, reports, backlog grooming)
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to maintain a well-defined and prioritized backlog
  • Identify and remove team impediments to ensure smooth sprint execution
  • Track and report key Agile metrics such as velocity, sprint progress, and burndown charts
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team
  • Ensure effective communication between stakeholders, business teams, and development teams
  • Support Agile transformation and coach team members on Agile best practices

Required Skills:

  • Strong experience as a Scrum Master in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Hands-on expertise in Jira (workflow configuration, dashboards, reporting)
  • Solid understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to handle multiple teams and priorities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the healthcare domain (HIPAA, claims, EHR, payer/provider systems, etc.)
  • Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent)
  • Experience with Agile scaling frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, etc.)
  • Familiarity with tools like Confluence or other collaboration platforms
