Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer with Marketing Cloud experience to help scale our technology platforms and advisor engagement capabilities. This role will focus on building Salesforce-based workflows, advisor-facing functionality, and automated engagement journeys using Marketing Cloud. You will work closely with our engineering team, data platform, and product leadership to build scalable advisor experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Salesforce Platform Development

• Design and build Salesforce platform functionality using Apex, Lightning, and Flow
• Develop scalable workflows supporting advisor insights and client opportunities
• Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and AWS services
• Participate in platform architecture and technical design discussions
• Ensure code quality through testing and adherence to SDLC standards

Marketing Cloud Development

• Design and implement automated advisor engagement journeys
• Build triggered communications tied to platform insights and client milestones
• Integrate Marketing Cloud with Salesforce platform data and events
• Develop segmentation and campaign automation capabilities

Platform Integration

• Work with data engineers to surface insights generated from the data platform
• Integrate Salesforce with external APIs and partner systems
• Support new carrier integrations and advisor data flows

Required Skills

• 5+ years Salesforce development experience
• Strong Apex and Lightning development skills
• Experience with Salesforce Flow and automation frameworks
• Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud
• Experience integrating Salesforce with external APIs
• Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture and best practices

Preferred Experience

• Experience in web development
• Experience with AWS-based integrations
• Experience in financial services or fintech
• Experience supporting high-growth SaaS platforms
• Salesforce Platform Developer certification

What Success Looks Like

In the first 12 months you will help:

• Scale the advisor experience on Barnum’s platform
• Automate advisor engagement journeys
• Support integrations with major insurance partners
• Improve platform performance and development velocity
